Brahms, Beethoven, Ravaei

Presented by Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra

In his final concert as Music Director, Jaime Martín brings the Orchestral Series to a powerful and deeply personal close. The program opens with a world premiere by 2026/27 Sound Investment Composer Kian Ravaei.

Acclaimed violinist James Ehnes takes the stage for Brahms’ Violin Concerto, a cornerstone of the repertoire that pairs technical brilliance with profound lyricism. With its expansive melodies, symphonic scale, and moments of intimate dialogue between soloist and orchestra, the concerto showcases both virtuosity and emotional depth in equal measure.

Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A major closes the evening with exhilarating momentum. Driven by rhythmic vitality and an almost physical sense of motion, the symphony builds toward one of Beethoven’s most electrifying finales, a thrilling culmination that brings Martín’s tenure to a resonant and unforgettable close.
